Mister Global is an annual male beauty pageant in a sea of female pageants. While, there are many male pageants out there now, Mister Global has distinguished itself from the crowd. Started in 2014, the competition has just gotten more popular each year.
This year, the World Final of the Mister Global 2019 competition took place on September 27th in Bangkok Thailand. The competition winner will be an “Inspiring Gentleman” for young men all around the world, and will also champion environmental and charitable projects as a Global Goodwill Ambassador.
In order to embrace the culture of the hosting country, Thailand, all contestants would explore the most beautiful beaches in Thailand, learn Thai culture; and experience famous Thai extreme sports.
Mister Global mainly tries to promote environmental causes, and this year the pageant did a fundraising event to support an organization that takes care of elephants in Thailand.
Like Miss Universe, one of the segments on the competition is a National Costume Show, which allows contestants to showcase clothing that honors and celebrates contestants’ home countries. Some of these are more traditional, whereas others are more complicated, ornate, and designed to be eye-catching.
