It seems these it’s simply easier to blame things on Millennials instead of trying to understand the changing tide. This in turn has launched #BoycottMillennials. After being blamed for decline in marriage rates, ruining relationships, declining sales of houses, and a few other things – now the auto industry can also be added to the list.

In a recent press conference, Sitharaman blamed the declining sales of automobiles on the changing mindset of millennials who prefer to use Ola and Uber instead of purchasing their own vehicles.
Her words, not ours exactly were “Some studies do tell us that mindset of millennials, who are now preferring not to commit an EMI (equated monthly installment) for buying an automobile, instead prefer to take Ola, Uber, everything else, or take the Metro… A whole lot of factors are influencing the automobile sector. We are trying to solve the problem for them.”
